Kyuhyun/Sungmin (Kyumin)

  • Newest recs are at the bottom.
  • I tend to recommend only one fic per author (after all, that's what the author spotlights are for), but if you find you like a fic, please check out the rest of that author's work—you'll probably love all of it.

Just Another Season by [livejournal.com profile] naturedichotomy: One-shot, R. AU- junkie!Kyuhyun, prostitute!Sungmin. Kyuhyun grew weary of this city, and the people in it, so long ago he can't remember a time he liked it.
This fic is dirty and broken and feels just a little bit out-of-control. There's still character development despite its short length, which is really impressive.

Then Build it Again by [livejournal.com profile] warmboys: One-shot, PG-13. Side Kyuhyun/Zhou Mi. Kyuhyun is under reconstruction.
This is one of those fics that my mind comes back to a lot. It's just...really deeply touching. Somehow it seems fluffy on the surface, but underneath that there are all these roiling emotions.

Cityverse by [livejournal.com profile] sapphynashi and [livejournal.com profile] interludesign: Insanely long discontinued epic, PG-13. Lots of side pairings. The City lies in restless slumber, in exhaustion and defeat. Its streets are scarred and winding, lonely roads that lead to nowhere, around buildings that glitter and crumble in the same instant. The City has a name, but it's not worth remembering. The City sleeps, but on some nights...it wakes up.
You may remember me saying that I don't read very many multiparts. This fic is 65,000 words long. Holy hell. So no, I haven't read all of this yet, but holy hell how do you not rec something this epic? Sadly, it was discontinued in 2008, so there isn't an ending. But this fic seems to involve lovely writing and vampires and a ridiculous action drama plot so, um, I'm really looking forward to sitting down and reading this thing.

±>0.001% (Rounded Off to Three Decimal Places) by [livejournal.com profile] amillionsheep: Multi-part (9 chapters so far, in progress), PG-13. Side Heechul/Han Geng. Sungmin is a greeting card writer. He's good only at sympathy cards and rude only to Dr. Cho.
This fic is long and amazingly still being worked on, something which I am intensely grateful for. The snark is viciously funny in this fic.

Incarnāre, to Make Flesh by [livejournal.com profile] hambaobao: One-shot, R. Your voice your fingers your heat they will all be imprinted deep inside of me.
I love this author's writing. His descriptions are very sense-oriented, lush, and gorgeous. This fic is a little bit of everything—funny, hot, adorable, snarky.

Acceptance is a Small Quiet Room by [livejournal.com profile] hambaobao: Two-shot, R. Side Kyuhyun/Zhou Mi. Be brave enough to break your own heart.
Two in a row by this author, yeah. I'm...having a lot of trouble finding Kyumin to recommend, to be honest, please spam me with good fic if you can. Anyway, this is wingfic that plays with religious themes and breaks the ship, so you've been warned. This is really well-researched (I enjoyed it for the Biblical conversations almost more than the ship itself) and I love Ryeowook here.
